Selling my LC500 Convertible simply because we have too many cars at home and this one just doesn’t get driven enough. It has travelled only around 2,000km, mainly used for the occasional weekend drive, and presents accordingly. The LC500 is one of those cars that feels increasingly special in today’s market. At its heart is Lexus’ proven 5.0-litre 2UR-GSE naturally aspirated V8， no turbochargers, no downsizing, just an old-school high-revving V8 with an incredible soundtrack. The character of the V8 exhaust and induction note was developed with Yamaha’s acoustic expertise, and with the roof down it is something that really needs to be experienced. With Australia’s NVES regulations and increasingly strict emissions requirements, large-capacity naturally aspirated engines are becoming increasingly uncommon. Cars like the LC500 represent a type of grand touring experience that is unlikely to become more common in the future.
